The computer demands a blog

the-computer-demands-a-blog

An unforgivable length of time has passed since my last post. I’ve been a busy bean – terminal velocity style.

One of the main reasons for my lackadaisical posting is that after some soul searching and a lot of phone-calls, I’ve taken a new job at a tech start-up. I start there in just three weeks, so once that settles down I’ll get back into this here blog.

I have been doing stuff, I promise!

Look, I made this website jemi.ma, which has a pretty fancy TLD (if you know what that is).

Speak soon my lovelies.

.tel domains. My brother in the online viral advert!

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

My brother, Will, appears in this advert as one of the lead guys, the one in the suit and with cappuccino foam on his top lip! I think it’s a rather good viral ad. I showed it to my boss and he immediately went and bought a .tel domain for himself! I’ve got jemima.tel too… just incase it takes off.

Oh, and if it does take off and the ad goes international my brother’s pay packet will increase significantly, so we’ve a vested interest really!

You can get your .tel domain by clicking here.

Who made the Computer Tan campaign @ computertan.com?

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

Well, that’s what I was wondering – but with a little bit of internet poking (the wonderful Whois), I found that McCan Erickson (that fabulous ad agency) were the brains behind this hugely successful charity skin cancer awareness campaign.

Do visit the website for the full tanning experience: Computer Tan

Genius.

I’m getting a bit more up to date with my rss feed, and have created a new and improved feed. I’d be very grateful if you could subscribe to this feed instead of the old one:

Cheers!

Vote for me, Saatchi Gallery Online.

Monday, January 14th, 2008

Hello all!

I’ve submitted one of the photographs from the Renaissance series of photographs that I took late last year into a ’showdown’ on ‘STUART’, which is a website for student artists run by the Satchi Gallery.

It would be immense if you could find the time to rate the photograph from 1 star to 10s tars (10 being the best ;). The web site is a pretty good way to showcase photography, so it would be brilliant if I did well in a competition like this.

The link to click is here: VOTE HERE!

Voting starts at 9am on the 14th of January.

Thank you so much!

There’s no great message.

ThreeWeeks Podcasting Galore!

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

So, I’ve been producing podcasts for which is a daily publication whose grand scheme is to cover every single show being performed more than 3 times at the entire Edinburgh festival. My little job is to run around after some well and lesser well-known artists of my (and presenter Alan Jenkins’s) choice, and interview them.

So far I’ve interviewed : Karen Dunbar, Michelle MacManus, Neil and Christine Hamilton, Amanda Palmer from the Dresden Dolls, Josie Long, Hannah Gadsby, The Improverts, The Oxford Imps, Acoustic Edinburgh, Tripod, Andrew Lawrence (though I recorded over part of that one by mistake) and possibly some others that I have forgotten about.

The first few have just gone live today and you can listen to them either by visiting the iTunes Music Store and searching for ‘ThreeWeeks’ – then subscribing to the podcast (mine are the most recent ones though podcasts from last years festival are still available) – You can also click this here image – simple really!

Alternatively, you can visit the following links:

Acoustic Edinburgh
Karen Dunbar
Michelle Macmanus

I’ll post more as and when they go live.

Woo, podcasting is fun.

Here it goes…

So, here’s my new project… a blog. Well, it’ll be more of a photoblog to be precise, but I have no idea what direction it’ll go with, so bookmark the RSS feed and you’ll be able to see for yourself!
