Praying man: Amritsar
Saturday, June 30th, 2007

I’m on a train with awful wifi, but thought I’d try to post this.
Out in India an off-licence is called an ‘English’, and though it claims to sell wine it does no such thing – just beer, whisky, gin, and vodka.

I’ve been experimenting with different ways of displaying galleries on the site and I quite like this option – needs tinkering but it’ll get there. I have to thank Amos Wong, my friend from afar, who’s been helping me get this set up. Kind man he is. He’s down as ‘More genius’ in my links to your left.
These shots have played a small part in the workings leading toward Edinburgh band Amplifico’s debut album release. We’re doing another shoot next week in a studio since the last studio shots taken by the kind Andy Whitton were stolen out of the back of a van. More practice for me though, which is brill.
It’s probably best just to press the PLAY button
Here’s a shot from our day out in Preston Pans last weekend for the Fence collective gig. Click play to view a slideshow of some other photos from the day.
Superb!

This is probably my fave photo from my time in India in 2003. These were some kids from one of the younger classes at the school where I taught.

It is a man, with a guitar, and his name is Ross!
